The twitter feed certainly didn't make the revolution, but the videos, the pictures, the quotes and the events reached the media mostly because of twitter feeds and people generally keeping in touch.

My point with the solidarity statement is that it is not, in this case, something that travels over distance or over any borders. It's just generally people acting on the values they believe in regardless of where they are and regardless of who receive (more or less). Solidarity is always very much targetted at someone else, in this case everyone is defending a community they perceive themselves as belonging to.

But well. It is possible to have different opinions about semantics, I guess, and about scalps.
