The full pay and expenses is allegedly the privilege that comes with observer status, since this "post" is meant to give us the time to assemble and prepare for our final democratic mission (or whatever you'd call it). The above mentioned bureaucratic difficulties along with the special case of France has postponed the granting of observer status and unfortunately this means that me and my colleagues will be less informed and less integrated with our respective political groups than would have otherwise been the case.
