I have studied mathematics which perhaps goes to show in that I manage to intuitively pick out only mathematicians from this article about women in science. Okay, So I already knew about Sophie Germaine. Maria Gaetana Agnesi was, however, an intuitive discovery.

Following a post today on SpicyIP I realize that I sometimes get feelings of guilt for not blogging.

For completely unknown reasons I suddenly started to care about useless things.

A little less than a month ago a temporary alliance under the banner of Anonymous successfully broke into the servers of security firm HBGary and acquired information about a security firm menage-a-trois busying themselves with pleasing the American Chamber of Commerce in their struggles against undesirable leftist groupings and labour unions.

During the protests in Tunisia and Egypt, of which the collective Anonymous took a part, that same collective suddenly got other problems which, mostly, went unnoticed.

About five or six years ago, I read a book by Ted Chiang. An anthology of his collected works (eight shortstories, all of them brilliant). This particular blogpost is a reference to the short story Understand, which everyone should read because it is truly a masterpiece and deserves every bit of attention it can get.
